LEAHP Webinar: Addressing Discrimination and Stigma in Youth Suicide Prevention

On Wednesday, March 16th, 2022, LEAHP held a special webinar focused on suicide prevention among BIPOC and LGBTQ youth, youth with disabilities, and youth with intersecting identities.

Along with the LEAHP team, experts from Child Trends and The Trevor Project reviewed youth suicide data with a focus on BIPOC youth, LGBTQ youth, and youth with disabilities. There was a discussion on the role of discrimination and stigma in contributing to disparities in suicide deaths and attempts, and opportunities to incorporate a focus on addressing discrimination and stigma in youth suicide prevention efforts.
